Senior Economist

Greylock McKinnon Associates seeks Senior Economists to manage economic analysis on regulatory/litigation consulting projects; develop econometric models; create models of behavior/damages; prepare testimony/presentations; and manage case team members. Must have a Ph.D. in economics; at least 5 years of experience in economic consulting; knowledge of econometric analysis and analytical software such as SAS, Eviews, and STATA.

 

Senior Associate

Greylock McKinnon Associates seeks Senior Associates to perform advanced economic analysis and modeling on regulatory and litigation consulting projects. Tasks include analyzing critical economic, financial and accounting data; preparing testimony and reports; preparing client presentations; managing and allocating resources for completion of project goals; and managing work of Analysts/Associates. Must have a Master’s in economics; 5 years of work experience in economic analysis, including 2 years of work experience in economic consulting; knowledge of econometric analysis and analytical methodologies; and knowledge of STATA and SAS.

 

Senior Analyst

The Senior Analyst position demands knowledge of or interest in economics, a broad range of research skills and the ability to perform quantitative analysis. Senior Analysts are involved in nearly all aspects of project work, interacting closely with other analysts, consultants, firm principals and Academic Affiliates in analyzing data, preparing client presentations and drafting reports. Through their involvement, Senior Analysts gain a comprehensive understanding of the industries and issues relevant to the projects we work on. As skills and competencies develop, there will be greater opportunity for independent work and client interaction.

We seek candidates who possess strong academic backgrounds. Preferred applicants will fall in the top quartile of their graduating class and will have completed significant coursework in economics or related areas. Demonstration of quantitative skills, writing ability, qualitative skills and familiarity with computer applications (including SAS) are required. Candidates applying for the Senior Analyst position should have at least 2 years of applicable work experience.

 

Research Analyst

The Research Analyst position demands knowledge of or interest in economics, a broad range of research skills and the ability to perform quantitative analysis. Intern

GMA is looking for continuing undergraduate or graduate students to participate in its Summer Intern Program. Interns provide analytical support to analysts, consultants, firm principals and Academic Affiliates and become an integral part of the GMA team. Our program gives interns an invaluable learning experience with hands-on analytic experience in the economic consulting industry. The Intern Program gives an excellent opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the industries and issues relevant to active GMA projects.

The successful Intern should possess the following characteristics: Education, experience and/or interest in economics; experience with Microsoft applications, especially Excel and Word (knowledge of Access and PowerPoint is a plus); excellent communication skills; familiarity with the internet and an ability to conduct data research without significant oversight; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; and functional knowledge of computer programming languages is a plus. Internships are paid full-time positions.
